Jacqueline Fernandez, a Sri Lankan actor from Bahrain's Manama was brought up in a multicultural family. Jacqueline's father Elroy is a Sri Lankan (Catholic Sinhalese) and her mother, Kim, a Malaysian. There are two brothers as well as an older sister. Padukone has Mangalorean roots and speaks Konkani as her primary language. Her family ancestors are from the village of Padukone located in Kundapura Taluk, in the Udupi district of Karnataka state in India. Prakash Padukone was a badminton legend who retired in the 80s.
